Mihmihi and Pepeha - We have been practising our mihimihi and learning to make our pepeha sound describing. We are doing this because so we dont need to use the paper, know it off by heart and stand strong in front of others.
This is what I have been practising
Nei rā te tuku maioha ,ki te atua
Koia te tīmatanga otirā te whakamutunga o ngā mea katoa.
Ki te kaikawe o te rongopai, nāu e whakatū te arawhata
ki te runga rawa. E mihi kau atu ana ki a koe.
Me huri taku aro ki a koutou ngā amorangi o te kura,
e kaha nei ki te tautoko, te āwhina, ā, me te hāpai hoki
i a mātou. E kore ngā mihi e mutu ana kia koutou.
Ki aku hoa, whāia e koe ki te iti kahurangi,
kia tūohu e koe hei maunga tiketike.
No reira tēnā koutou, tēnā koutou katoa.
